The Hub Kick-Off has started!
All listed times are in Central European Time (CET).
In the opening note, we will kick off the day and the SciLMi Hub with a short overview of our project, our team, and our objectives. We will explore our co-creative journey and outline the conference goals, setting the stage for our shared aspirations.
In the town hall, we will briefly introduce you to our SciLMi Framework on Meta-Scientific Literacies and uncover intersections with your projects, particularly in areas such as critical thinking, civic literacies, misinformation, inclusion, socio-scientific issues, PISA 2025, and competence frameworks.
At virtual round tables centred on the intersections identified in the previous session, we will pool our expertise to generate ideas and devise strategies for effectively bringing synergies to life and forging enduring alliances.
We will gather in small groups to exchange opinions, perceptions and experiences on meta-scientific literacies.
!! Limited Places !! Please express your interest in engaging in a discussion with educational stakeholders from across Europe in the pre-registration form. We will inform you if you have secured a spot in one of the small group discussions.

by Prof. Dr. Jonathan Osborne
Jonathan's presentation will make the case for the significance of meta-scientific literacies and pivotal skills such as lateral reading, critical ignoring, and epistemic humility, followed by a brief Q&A session.
During this info session, we will present the project, introduce our team, outline our objectives, and discuss the benefits for you. We will provide details about the three complimentary SciLMi teacher trainings, followed by a brief Q&A section.
Join us in these workshops where we showcase how to teach meta-scientific literacies in your subjects. Together, we will explore strategies for customising teaching activities and materials to empower learners to become effective democratic citizens – and be ready for PISA 2025.

We invite dedicated teachers to join us in shaping the future of education and discussing the readiness, requirements, and challenges across Europe in integrating meta-scientific literacies into the classroom.
